Actress Sonakshi Sinha interacted with media along with her ‘Ittefaq’ co-star Aksahaye Khanna after release of their film on Saturday in Mumbai. While interacting with media, Sonakshi stated that after doing film like ‘Ittefaq’ , her confidence as an actress has increased.

Talking about how ‘Ittefaq’ helped her to grow as an actress, Sonakshi said, “My confidence do to film like this comes from that I have done in the past which were mostly commercial and massy films and the kind of response this film is getting is overwhelming and the kind of character I have played in this film or my previous films like ‘Akira’ or ‘Noor’, it increases your confidence as an actor”

Actor Akshaye Khanna, whose comeback murder-mystery “Ittefaq” opened with great reviews but slow collection, on Saturday said he believes it is too early to analyze the film in terms of collection.

“It is too early to analyze the box-office or the film.. it just released yesterday (Friday) but the initial response that I got has been really positive… so we will analyze it later but right now it is extremely positive,”

“Ittefaq”, the remake of a 1969 hit, was made under three different, leading productions houses – Dharma Productions, Red Chillies Entertainment, and B.R. Studios, but Akshaye said there were no fights for the film.

“Sometimes there are fights, but in this film, nothing like that happened. Everything just went smoothly. Shahrukh Khan and Karan Johar are good friends, but they have an amazing relationship with BR Studios and everyone is happy,” he said.

Talking about the success of the film, Sonakshi said, “I am very happy the way we promoted this film because I feel if we would have talked about it so much then something about the film would have leaked which we didn’t wanted to happen. It’s a murder mystery and if suspense stays till the end then its better which is what happened so I am very happy with it.”

“I feel we make very few film in this genre but the kind of opening we have got without promotion and songs then I it’s great”

Akshaye also favoured the decision of less promotion for the films, as the audience make up their mind with the first promo. “First audiences watch the promo of the film, they make up their mind whether they want to watch the film or not.

“After that actor of that film can do one interview or do thousands, I don’t think it makes much of difference but it definitely creates awareness.”

And Akshay believes that audience’s opinion does not change after watching the promo. “The decision they (audience) take after watching the promo of the film, it doesn’t change, this is my opinion,” he added.

Akshaye had taken a long sabbatical from films before making his comeback with Sridevi starrer “Mom” and now “Ittefaq”. But the actor promised that he will do more films.

“Yes, I will do more films now. I will make the announcement soon,” he said.

Sidharth Malhotra plays Vikram Sethi, a popular writer and Sonakshi essays the role of Maya, the other murder suspect. While on the other hand, we have Akshaye Khanna playing the typical no-nonsense cop.

It is directed by Abhay Chopra, the grandson of the original director BR Chopra. It is released in theatres on 3rd November, 2017.
