20 years of ‘Dhadkan’, the blockbuster romantic drama which released in the year 2000 featured Shilpa Shetty, Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty was one of the most successful films of the year as it became the 4th highest-grossing it also earned over 900 crores in terms of worldwide sales of tickets.
Apart from a highly emotional storyline, the film also had an amazing soundtrack which gave soothing tracks like ‘Dil Ne Yeh Kaha Hain Dil Se’ and ‘Tum Dil Ki Dhadkan Mein’ which became love anthems.
On this occasion, the leading lady of the film Shilpa Shetty took to her Instagram to share an old clip of the film where you can see some behind the scenes moments and the stars, as well as the director of the film, Dharmesh Darshan, talking about their experience and the characters of the film. They also talk about the highly captivating soundtrack of the film.
In the caption, Shilpa wrote, “Celebrating #20YearsOfDhadkan ❤️
Time flies… it truly does! Felt a rather strong wave of nostalgia when I came across this footage @lehrentv, took me back two decades. Cannot believe it’s time to celebrate #20YearsOfDhadkan❤️??✨? feels so weird to hear myself speak from 20 years ago??”
She talked about other memorable things regarding the shoot of the film as she further mentioned, “So many memories come to mind… the trendsetting outfits by @manishmalhotra05, the biting cold shooting in Interlaken (Switzerland) in those outfits?? My director, @dharmesh.darshan addressing me as Anjali on the sets? (never as Shilpa), this is undoubtedly one of the most special films and a huge milestone in my career.”
Shetty concluded by mentioning the most lovable thing about the film as she said, “But, what I loved the most about the movie was its lilting music… timeless?! Weirdly, even Akshay had said that this music is so melodious that it’ll work even in 2020. Honestly, I can’t believe that I’m still a part of this milieu celebrating this movie, it’s been such an incredible journey. Thank you to my audiences for making this one such a memorable experience…”
