Apart from her mesmerizing acting, Bhumi Pednekar is also known for being an avid climate warrior. A climate warrior is a person who does their bit for sustainable development and adapts an Eco-friendly way of living for the greater good of the planet. Bhumi recently shared on her social media that she made the choice of being a vegetarian during this lock down.
She mentioned how she wanted to turn a vegetarian for years but it is always hard to break habits, “For many years I had the want to go vegetarian. But breaking habits are very tough. My journey with Climate Warrior taught me a lot. It made me more compassionate towards other species and made me more humble. Eating meat just didn’t feel good anymore. So I took a decision in the lock down and did what I was contemplating to do for a while now and one day I announced to the fam, that I’m giving up non-vegetarian food. Today it’s been a few months and I feel good, guilt-free and physically strong.”
Bhumi made her digital debut with the film ‘Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare’ this year alongside Konkona Sen Sharma. She will soon be seen in another film titled ‘Durgavati’ which is also releasing straight to OTT. It comes out on Amazon Prime Video on 11 December 2020.
