Bell the bullies! Sonakshi Sinha spreads awareness on online harassment

During the time of lockdown, Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha has taken it upon herself to spread awareness regarding the issue of Bullying. She has teamed up with Mission Josh and began a series on her Instagram account regarding putting a stop of all sorts of bullying, especially shaping up amidst the pandemic.

In the 4th episode in the series, she especially highlighted the harm caused by cyberbullying within both girls and guys. The panel of the discussion consisted of Mansi and Abhinav (the founders of Mission Josh), Malini Agarwal (founder of MissMalini), Deepika Bharadwaj (independent journalist and documentary filmmaker), Akancha Shrivasava (founder of Akancha Against Harassment).

The actress has mentioned that the purpose of being a part of such a campaign was crucial during a time like this i.e. the pandemic crisis because most of the negativity unleashed in the form of Cyberbullying gets manifests by being under isolation and not having much to do. Hence, it is very important to stop people from getting brainwashed by the negativity present on the internet.

On the work front, Sonakshi will soon be seen in the film ‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’ alongside Ajay Devgn. It is scheduled for an OTT release on Disney + Hotstar.
