Besides showcasing her acting prowess in Bollywood, Aditi Rao Hydari enjoys massive popularity in the South film industry as well.

Riding high on the success of Mani Ratnam’s Kaatru Veliyidai released last year, the gorgeous actress has offered a helping hand for South Indian actors by performing at a grand ‘star night’ in Malaysia this week.

In a bid to raise more funds for the new Nadigar Sangam building, the Nadigar Sangam association (also known as South Indian Artistes’ Association) is planning a grand ceremony in Malaysia on January 6. A series of events are being held in Kuala Lumpur on January 6 to collect funds for construction of an own building by the Nadigar Sangam. The events include a star cricket, a soccer match between actors from Kollywood and stars from Malaysian cinema and a variety cultural show. The event will happen at Bukit Jalil and around 80,000 spectators will be gracing over this occasion.

Aditi will have a solo performance grooving to chartbusters from Tollywood and Bollywood. The money generated would be used to construct the Nadigar Sangam building. Kollywood top stars including Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vijay, Vijayakanth and others are expected to attend the event.

Aditi says, “When Nadigar Sangam approached me to perform, there was no way I’d miss this opportunity. The South industry in the last one year has been extremely supportive and welcomed me so warmly that I am glad I could be a part of their noble initiative. Looking forward to this!”
