It has been 5 years since Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s extravagant film ‘Bajirao Mastani’ released. The film starred Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles. As the film completed 5 years since it’s release, Deepika Padukone paid a tribute to the film in her own special way where she changed her display picture and name to Mastani on all her social media handles.
She also made a special post on her Instagram handle and uploaded a picture where she is standing next to the mastermind director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Her note said, “Whether in love or war, Mastani was fuelled by her passion, unafraid to write her own destiny, no matter how perilous the path. She never bowed down and always stood her ground with a fierce dignity and a love so strong that its burning embers seared through every societal constraint, to join both her and her lover’s names, for all of eternity…”
