Vijay Sethupathi quashes all rumours about his film Laabam having a digital release

‘Makkal Selvan’ i.e. Vijay Sethupathi has finally given a major update about his upcoming film ‘Laabam’. Rumour mills had kicked into high gear when there was a buzz that the film will be releasing digitally and even it’s rights have also been sold to a leading streaming giant. However, the actor just made a major announcement on his social media that has put all these talks to rest.

His recently made tweet said, “Socio political thriller #Laabam, its not a direct OTT premiere it will have a big theatrical release

Although he made the announcement of his film having a silver screen release, but no official dates regarding the same have been revealed so far. Laabam will be his second collaboration national awardee filmmaker SP Jananthan after ‘Purambokku Engira Podhuvudamai’.

Before the spread of COVID-19, Laabam was supposed to release in the month of May in 2020. The shooting for the same also wrapped earlier this year.
