Never a man to back out from challenging scenes, actor Kay Kay Menon has now taken his appetite for action sequences to a new height with Disney+ Hotstar special, Special Ops 1.5: The Himmat Story.

The latest installment of the hit Special Ops series opened to awestruck audiences on 12 November as actor Kay Kay Menon reprised his role as Indian intelligence officer Himmat Singh.

The show’s high-caliber action sequences recorded the highest viewership for a launch day on Disney+ Hotstar.

The story now delves deep into the mysterious background of Himmat Singh’s rise as a spy, the story take-off in the aftermath of the 2001 Parliament attack. Himmat Singh is now seen involved in grittier and more dangerous action scenes to save himself and the country from a wanted terrorist.

Commenting on the arduous task of enacting the challenging action sequences of Special Ops 1.5: The Himmat Story, actor Kay Kay Menon said, “The action scenes are a class apart; I had to train for months to achieve what we shot in the show. The demanding scenes called for calculative teamwork to ensure the shoot was executed smoothly and safely. The scenes went beyond mere fights and gunshots, they also attempted to display the urgency and desperation of Himmat Singh to save himself and his country.”
