Mumbai: Versatile and popular actor Ayub Khan, who has made his mark on television with his acting skills and last entertained the audience with a grey shaded character on Star Plus’ Ek Hasina Tha will soon be seen on Saurabh Tiwari’s upcoming show Phir Bhi Na Maane Badtameez Dil on Star Plus.
Media spoke to Ayub Khan to know more about his character on the show, his future plans and much more.
Talking about his character on the show, he said, “My character on the show will have grey shades. He is a father who has many wishes about his son but his son has a different thinking than his father. This creates a clash between father and son and this is also the reason of the ups and downs happening in the life of his son. There are only four to five types of roles that are offered to an actor who belong to my age category. Saurabh has given this character a quite believable run. Sometimes some characters are unbelievable and unpredictable which makes you feel like this character can’t exit in real. The way Saurabh (Saurabh Tewari) narrated me this role and what he has made this character to me is something that I could identify with.”
“I hope the audience will continue to appreciate my work like always. My television journey has been amazing and fantastic. I don’t know whether I have faith in myself or not but the faith that the people have in me has been incredible,” added Ayub.
When we asked the actor about his take on the current trend of television, he said, “Television has been growing and evolving. It is entering into new areas and hopefully it continues to do that in future too and I hope that I will continue to be a part of it as it’s entering into new areas with new stories, new formats and new characters.”
Talking about his future plans, Ayub told us, “Right now I am busy with this show. As an actor we don’t get time for anything else while we do one show. Along with doing the show, I am doing something that I enjoy; I have started learning paragliding and currently enjoying that.”
We wish Ayub all the best for his new show.
