The award for best Telugu film went to Jersey at the 67th National Film Awards. It also won another award in the category of best editing. It is a known fact that Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor is gearing up for a release of the Hindi adaptation of Jersey where he will be playing the lead role.
On his Instagram handle, the star congratulated the film for its win and jokingly mentioned that this honour had led to some extra pressure on him ahead of the release of the Hindi version of the film. His post said, “Huge congratulations to the entire team. Thanks for the extra pressure ?????”

Telugu filmmaker, Gowtam Tinnanuri is directing the Hindi version of the film as well. Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapoor will also play crucial roles in the movie. Jersey is set to release theatrically on 5 November 2021.
