Actor Jatin Goswami, who has earlier shared screen space with Tanishta Mukherjee and Seema Biswas, is excited for his upcoming film Babumoshai Bandookbaaz, says that working with established actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is like an Ice-Break for a relatively new actor like him, and shall be turning point of his career in many ways.
In an exclusive interview, Jatin shared, “I got this opportunity and I feel getting a parallel lead along with Nawazuddin Sir is not less than an Ice-Break for me, that too in the beginning of my career in the Bollywood Industry.
It will be a turning point of my career in many ways, it’s not just your career gets a jump start but other than that, I am seeing his (Nawazuddin) work from 2012 and since then, I used to look up to him as an actor and a performer.”
“Many actors read motivational and inspirational books to get inspired and feel motivated but Nawazuddin Sir himself is an inspiration for other actors. And it was a dream come true moment to work with such an actor.”
Jatin shared how he came on board for Babumoshai Bandookbaaz, He said, “Firstly, I was auditioned for a small character role in Babumoshai Bandookbaaz. I was auditioned for 4 rounds and they liked my work. Later I was selected for the parallel lead.”
“There was no pre-introduction with Nawazuddin Sir, I was directly given a scene to act and with my first shot, director Kushan Nandy and Nawazuddin sir praised my work.” Jatin expressed.
Babumoshai Bandookbaaz stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Bidita Bag in lead roles.
The film has been cleared by the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal (FCAT) with “eight minor, voluntary cuts” and is scheduled to release on 25 August in theatres.
