Pankaj Tripathi announces new short film called ‘Laali’

The film will deal with issues like loneliness and longing. It has been directed by Abhiroop Basu and has been shot in Kolkata.

Renowned actor Pankaj Tripathi has announced that his short film ‘Laali’ is scheduled to premiere at the 2020 Dharamshala International Film Festival. Along with this, he also revealed the first look of the poster of the film.

The film will deal with issues like loneliness and longing. It has been directed by Abhiroop Basu and has been shot in Kolkata. Tripathi will be seen playing the role of  a laundryman within the upcoming film. The poster of the film looks quite intense with a dark setting. The actor has wrapped a dark shawl on himself with some heavy specs. He is looking at the camera with quite a serious expression.

His caption said, “लाली मेरी पसंदीदा शॉर्टफ़िल्म अभिरूप द्वारा निर्देशित।, Laali – a film about loneliness and longing, all set to World Premiere at the prestigious Dharamshala International Film Festival 2020.”

The film will have a duration of 40 mins. This time the film festival will be held virtually from 29 October to 4 November.

Meanwhile, he will also be seen in the digital space again as he will essay his iconic role of ‘Kaleen Bhaiya’ from the famous TV series Mirzapur. It will have its premiere on Amazon Prime Video from 23 October 2020.
