Amitabh Bachchan rubbished all rumors about him meeting with a car accident in Kolkata, saying he is well.

It was reported that Mr. Bachchan had visited the city on an invitation from the state government for the inaugural programme of the 23rd Kolkata International Film Festival and was going to the airport on Saturday morning when the accident took place.

But the actor took to Twitter to ridicule the rumor and announce that no such incident took place.

“I am informed by concerned well-wishers and media, that I had a close escape from a car accident in Kolkata… that is incorrect, there has been no accident. I am well,” he tweeted on Thursday night.

Amitabh Bachchan’s upcoming film project is ‘102 Not Out’ in which he features as a 102-year-old father and Rishi Kapoor plays his 75-year-old son. The film is directed by Umesh Shukla, is based on a Gujarati play of the same name, written by Saumya Joshi.

He will also appear in Thug of Hindustan directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya costarring, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Shashank Arora and Jackie Shroff.
