UN Women, the United Nations organization (based in New York) dedicated to gender equality and women’s empowerment, has recently invited actress-entrepreneur Neetu Chandra to discuss gender equality through their initiative ‘Planet 50-50 by 2030: Step It Up For Gender Equality’.

Neetu made her country proud by discussing several issues related to women rights at the UN Women headquarters amidst the crowd of young leaders from different countries.

An accomplished actress-entrepreneur, Neetu has not only made her presence felt in the Indian film industry with her versatility, but has represented the voice of numerous concerned women on the important issue of gender equality, education and violence against women and girls in India through her association with several NGOs including Cancer Patients Aaid Association (CPAA).

Considering Neetu’s philanthropy work that she has been doing effortlessly since long time now, UN Women invited her and she graciously accepted it.

Neetu says, “I was invited by the UN women to talk about the Gender equality which is called Planet 50-50 by 2030. It was so refreshing to see some dynamic leaders and the thought processes from all over the world. The interaction was fabulous, it was a great Exchange , perfect guidance n execution of how to go about the policies. We spoke about the quality of thought processes between both the genders and how they should stand with each other. At any given point , we should not feel, that there is a war against them. Here we are talking about a war together against the tradition norms n hypocrat society. I think we can only progress if both the genders come hand in hand. For me it was a great experience as I always said, “My mother lead and my father followed”
