Manoj Bajpayee bags title of the ‘Best Actor’ at National Film Awards for Bhonsle

Manoj Bajpayee took to his Instagram to express gratitude for his win.

Gem of an icon from the Bollywood industry, actor Manoj Bajpayee won the award for ‘Best Actor’ at the 67th National Awards. It was for his film Bhonsle that he also co-produced. Prior to this, the film had already been honoured at various film festivals like Cannes Film Festival, Busan International Film Festival, MAMI Film Festival,  Dharamshala International Film Festival, International Film Festival Rotterdam, the Bengaluru International Film Festival and the Singapore South Asian film festival and so on.

The film centred around the life of Bhonsle, a retired policeman who decides to bring about a change and gets involved in politics involving migrant residents. The film was released in India in 2020 through the streaming service Sony LIV. Manoj Bajpayee took to his Instagram to express gratitude for his win. He put up the poster of the film while writing, “Thank you ?”.
