Mumbai: Gone are the days when actors on the small screen deployed duplicates to help them out in challenging and life-threatening action and stunt sequences. Well, most of the actors of today’s time are ready to tread the dangerous path and perform, to make the scene realistically best.
Well, actor Raj Singh did exactly that for an upcoming episodic tale in Sony TV’s Aahat (Fireworks Productions).
The scene required Raj to jump off the terrace from a height of nearly 55 feet. We hear that though the actor was nervous in the first take, he did a fabulous job in his second take.
This particular story will deal with Raj going through a child marriage, post which Raj’s family will not accept the girl home. This will result in the girl committing suicide, only to return and haunt Raj’s family. She will ultimately take revenge by throwing Raj off the terrace and killing him.
When contacted, Raj Singh told us, “The story has a good message related to child marriage. The best part is that I got to perform my very first stunt. It was scary to be hung on a harness, but after the first shot I was not nervous. it was like a free fall from 55 ft to the ground.”
