Emraan Hashmi is back with a bang, in and as Azhar, based on the life and times of the former Indian cricket captain.
The film went on to become the actor’s sixth biggest opener after blockbusters like Raaz 3, The Dirty Picture, Jannat 2, Murder 2 and Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai.
The sports biopic also earned him praise for his performance, apart from having the cash registers ringing at the box office ,with a 21 cr domestic weekend.
Happy with the response the film is receiving says Emraan, “When we make a film, I don’t know which way it is headed. I’d much rather just hope for the best. I am happy that Azhar is doing well and has been appreciated.
The industry is fair game and I’m glad that our hard work has paid off, as this film has been one of the most challenging in my career. Hope to have the continued love and support of my fans.”
