Amidst of Padmavati raging controversy Actor Ranveer Singh was spotted at the Launch of Adidas Original first “Fashion Destination Door” format store here in Mumbai. During his media interaction actor stated that he has been asked not to talk about the movie.
“I am 200 percent with the film and I stand by it as well as Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Given that it is very sensitive time right now. I have been specifically asked not to say anything” said Ranveer Singh.
On further probing about the issues regarding the movie and his take on the entire issue, Ranveer Singh quickly quipped that all the communication will come from the producers.
“Whatever official communication with regards to the film needs to be made and you will receive from the producers. Thank you very much for coming out today and before some ruckus happens here, I need to get out of here” said Ranveer Singh on the sidelines of FDD store launch.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmavati starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Shahid Kapoor, has been facing protests from various groups, including Karni Sena, for allegedly tampering with historical facts.
Deepika Padukone, who plays the role of Rani Padmini, has been threatened with physical harm. The actress and her parents have been given special police protection, as some politician has promised a bounty on her head.
The screening of the movie, which was earlier slated for December 1, has already been deferred by a few days.
