Mumbai: After a stellar response to his performance as the protagonist in the recently released “Yeh Hai Bakrapur”, Anshuman Jha will be seen in a negative character of “Brown Sugar” in Kabir Sadanand’s FUGLY next month.
The young actor had originally met the Director for one of the three leading men alongside Mohit Marwah&Vijender Singh but because of date clashes with Onir’s “Chauranga” he couldnt take that up.But on reading the script he requested Kabir to instead give him “Brown Sugar” which was just 20days of work. The Director made him test for it & he bagged the role.
Says the Director Kabir Sadanand – “Anshuman’s character will be the surprise package of my film. When you have a malaeble actor, its the character that comes to life.Anshuman’s performance in Fugly is exciting & will be memorable. Its a Very Special Appearance.He’s a friend and am glad he could be a part of the film.”
The actor has 4 releases in the space of 6 months this year-Yeh Hai Bakrapur(May), Fugly(June), Chauranga(September), X(October). He will also start shooting Janaki Vishwanathan’s next in August.
