Akshay Kumar feels happy for Padmavati’s release

Akshay Kumar and Sonam Kapoor were present on the Set of Grand Finale of Zee Marathi’s Show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ for promotion of their upcoming film ‘Pad Man’. During media interaction Akshay said, he is happy for Padmavati’s release.

Talking about Padman’s release and the ongoing rumours about Padmavati release on 26th Janurary, Akshay said, “There is no competition, it is a big day, big week. Both films can be released, there are no issues. Every film has a right to be released whenever they (makers) want. And I am happy for them.”

When asked if he would want to give any advice to the contestants on the show, Akshay said, “No, they are amazing singers. And I can’t even sing. What advice could I give? I came here to promote my film and spread awareness about the taboo topic. I envy people who can sing because I don’t have a good voice. The songs that you have heard me sing are auto-tuned. I don’t sing that well. I really think people who can sing are truly blessed.”

Akshay who has produced Marathi cinema’s before was asked if he has any further plans for the industry, he said, “I think Marathi cinema is one of the best and intellectual cinemas made. I have always said it. I have seen some Marathi films and I find them very intellectual. they are very meaningful and deep. I have rights of a few Marathi films that I want to make in Hindi.”
