Internationally acclaimed sensation Adil Hussain will share screens with Antonio Aakeel in a new British-Indian film titled ‘Footprints On Water’. The film will be based on an illegal immigrant father from the United Kingdom in search of his daughter who is missing. As he does that, he tries to avoid the police.
The actor will be seen playing the role of the father in the film. Whereas Nimisha Sajayan, the actress from Malayali cinema will be seen essaying the role of his daughter. Hussain confirmed the news while sharing it on his Instagram page. He captioned the post, “Starting in December in Birmingham! Looking forward to be a part of this intense story! Directed by @nathalia_syam and written by @neethasyam with @antonioaakeel @nimisha_sajayan @lenasmagazine”
The film will get directed by Nathalia Syam (known for the short film Lehenga) and will also feature Lena Kumar playing the stepmom in the film. Whereas, Antonio Akeel will portray the role of a refugee from Afghanistan.
As per the update shared by Adil Hussain, the production for the film will begin in Birmingham, UK during December 2020.
