Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan and former world champion and Grand Master Vishwanathan Anand are teaming up for a noble cause. Both of them will be seen playing a game of chess in order to raise necessary funds for COVID-19 relief. The event is being sponsored by Chess.com India and is called ‘Checkmate COVID’.
On Twitter, through a post by Chess.com India, it was revealed, “The moment you all have been waiting for! Superstar Aamir Khan, an ardent chess lover, will be playing an exhibition match against former world champion Vishy Anand! Please feel free to donate generously to make this event a success.” The event will be streamed live on 13 June 2021 on Youtube.

On the work front, Aamir Khan finally made an appearance after a long hiatus in the song ‘Har Fun Maula’ alongside Elli AvrRam that was a part of the movie ‘Koi Jaane Na’, He will also be sen in the film Laal Singh Chaddha.
