In the year 2017, Rajkummar Rao made all the right choices and positioned himself as the undisputed acting talent of Indian cinema in the recent times with films like Vikramaditya Motwane’s Trapped, Bareilly Ki Barfi that won him accolades from Amitabh Bachchan and Aanand L Rai’s Newton, India’s official entry to Oscars.

The versatile actor had not only all the big names of the industry raving about his body of work but also bagged some of the most prestigious honours such as Filmfare for Critics Award for Newton and Supporting Actor for Bareilly Ki Barfi, the Variety Asia Rising Star Award, Star Screen Awards – Best Actor in a Supporting Role & Best Actor Critics, Zee Cine Awards – Extra Ordinary Impact Male, CNN-IBN Indian Of The Year Award and Best Actor at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards.
