Amidst huge buzz, the trailer of ALTBalaji’s highly anticipated show Haq Se is here! The trailer of this #ALTBalajiOriginal was launched today in the presence of Ekta Kapoor, director Ken Ghosh, producers Karan Raj Kohli and Viraj Kapur of Manor Rama Pictures and the cast including Rajeev Khandelwal, Surveen Chawla, Rukhsar, Simone Singh, Parul Gulati, Aanchal Sharma, Pavail Gulati and Karanvir Sharma.

Helmed by Ken Ghosh, the web series has been shot at pristine and exotic locations of Himachal Pradesh and Manali which adds to the sumptuous cinematography of the show. The show not only looks rich but also features a mixed bag of actors. Haq Se will also see TV heart-throbs Rajeev Khandelwal and Surveen Chawla together on the digital space for the first time and even marks their reunion with Ekta Kapoor.

Explaining the conceptualization of the series, Ekta says, “Little Women is my favourite book. It had the World War in the backdrop, it spoke about women who dealt with war and yet lived out their pains and passions. Taking Kashmir as a modern setting today, just before the Line Of Control was violated, Haq Se is a story about four women living in Kashmir in times of war, while their father is away to fighting for the army.”

Talking about the series, Ken says, “Haq Se was a beautiful gift which landed in my lap thanks to Ekta and the ALTBalaji team. It is one of the few scripts which had me in tears. When you have a script like that, half the battle is won. When you put together a bunch of really talented actors and a great team, you get magic on screen. We love what has come out of this and I hope you will to.”

Says Rajeev, “I’m very glad to be part of Haq Se. It all started with the script that got all of us together. It was for the love of the script that we readily agreed to be part of it and at the end of it when we look back, it has been a beautiful journey. Especially for me, as I got another opportunity to work with Ekta. With great writing, Ekta’s vision, Ken’s execution and Manor Rama’s hard work, you have a great product.”

Overwhelmed, Surveen Chawla says, “I’ve had my heart full of gratitude for Ekta for all my working years in this city. I can’t thank Ekta enough for choosing me at the beginning of my career, not worrying that I had no acting background. I started my career all thanks to her. Haq Se was a homecoming for Rajeev, Ekta and me.”

Inspired by Louisa May Alcott’s classic novel Little Women, Haq Se along with Rajeev Khandelwal and Surveen Chawla also stars Parul Gulati, Simone Singh, Rukhsar, Aanchal Sharma, Nikkesha Rangwala, Pavail Gulati and Karanvir Sharma. It’s a captivating story about four sisters Meher, Jannat, Bano and Amal, set in the backdrop of the beautiful valleys of Kashmir. The show explores their ambitions and dreams, how they are bound down by their geographical situation and the rising fundamentalism in the region and will soon be streaming on the ALTBalaji app and website.
