Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt have teamed up Adar Poonawalla’s Clean City Initiative which aims to underline the importance of cleanliness.
The ad is produced by filmmaker Karan Johar’s banner Dharma Productions and directed by Punit Malhotra.
Karan on Wednesday shared the link to the advertisement, on Twitter. He captioned it as “Our next ad with a cause! Proud of this one! Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Punit Malhotra, Adar Poonawalla. India Hoga Clean,”
In the video, the Badrinath Ki Dulhania duo is seen playing the characters of a desi Romeo and modern Juliet in love. When Alia litters in the video Varun ignores to kiss her and says, “When no litter in Pardesh then, why Kachra in Swadesh.”
This is not the first time Alia, Varun and Karan have collaborated professionally. The three have previously worked together in films like “Student Of The Year”, “Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania” and “Badrinath Ki Dulhania” over the years.
