Said superstar Rajinikanth,”I’ve always loved raja-rani stories. Even as a child, I would read the book only if the story started with ‘Once upon a time, there was a king…’. So, all these years, I had a regret of not having a chance to showcase our folklore on the big screen”

Said Shah Rukh Khan, chief guest of the evening, “I am honoured to be here in Chennai in support of the great superstar Mr.Rajinikanth – The only word I know properly in Tamil is ‘thalaiva’. Apart from this, the music of the film has been composed by Oscar winner Rahman whereas the sound recording has been done by Resul Pookutty, another Oscar winner, which made this event ,the most anticipated this year.
