Mumbai: Powerhouse performer ,Vidya Balan, who was recently bestowed an honorary doctorate for her contribution to society and for empowering women across the country , was recently overwhelmed by a young fan’s gesture.
The actress was in for a pleasant surprise, when a young teenage fan, traveled from Delhi to her residence in Mumbai and waited for hours under her building to present Vidya with a scrapbook on the occasion of Vidya completing 10 years in the hindi film industry.
The girl waited at Vidya’s residence gate for half a day, and informed her building guard that she personally wanted to gift Vidya a book, cuttings of which she spent years collecting.
As soon as Vidya entered her gate in her vehicle, she spotted the young girl holding up the scrap book and immediately invited her home. Vidya spent an hour talking to the young girl and looking through the book. She was completely overwhelmed by the gesture and especially with the fact that the fan has looked upto her and admired her for so many years
