Actress Richa Chadha attended trailer launch of her upcoming film Jia Aur Jai on Wednesday in Mumbai. While interacting with media, Richa stated that film industry should invest in good writers and directors to improve quality of filmmaking.

When asked what she thinks about current phase of content driven films, Richa said, “I feel we shouldn’t compare films like a particular film have strong content and another film with weal content. I feel each film’s content should be strong. Now our industry is suffering because people in the industry are investing in everything apart from scripting and writing. Over the years, we have stereotyped writers as sad and ill human being who writes script of the film. I feel firstly we should invest in good writers and directors then only overall scenario of industry will get improved.”

Audience more relate with Richa for her portrayal of Bholi Punjaban from Fukrey but in this film she is playing sophisticated character than her earlier film, talking about that, Richa said, “I am a sophisticated girl in real life as well. There is difference between real and reel image. I had fun playing normal character in this film. Playing different characters onscreen is our job so we do everything”.

Talking about the film, Richa sad, “It’s a very special film for me because I am playing different character in this film. She is reserved kind of girls and she has tragic back story but in real life I am happy and talkative. Kalki is my friend so it was nice working with her and Sweden is really a beautiful place so we had lots of fun while shooting for the film”.

Talking about her co-actor Arslan Goni who is making his debut in Bollywood, Richa said, “Arslan is really good actor. During the shoot, we never felt that he is a new actor. Kalki and me come from theatre background despite that we never saw him struggling while shooting for the film so I hope after this film, he gets more opportunities to work in films”
