The troubles for the movie Indu Sarkar seem far from over. The latest controversy

for the movie is that Congress party workers are opposing the release of the movie

in Indore. In a letter to Cine Circuit Association n Cine Grah Sanchalan, they have

demanded the movie not be released in Indore.

Furthermore, Congress wrote “if the film is screened then we will protest outside

theaters. And the theater owners will be responsible for it”. Congresss party

makers have been protesting against the movie ever since the trailer of Indu Sarkar

has come out and even demanded that the movie should be banned.

Madhur Bhandarkar has admitted that the movie is based on true historic facts and

is 70% fictional and human drama. However, Congress still has been having

sleepless nights about the movie and are leaving no stones unturned to cause

trouble and ensure that Emergency like circumstances of banning films are

recreated even now.

Indu Sarkar is a movie made on the backdrop of 21 month period of Emergency

that was imposed by the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film features Kirti

Kulhari, Anupam Kher, Tota Roy Chowdhury and Neil Nitin Mukesh among

others in pivotal roles. It will be releasing on July 28.
