This achievement comes almost immediately after Mudasir Ali recorded with the legendary singer Asha Bhosle for the film Lucknow Times. “I am very touched that Asha ji gave the nod to sing my song,” says Mudasir Ali. “It is a great honour.”

Director Sudipto Sen said, “I needed a song with a soul, that could reflect the pathos of the situation. And Mudasir Ali’s song with Asha Bhosle, penned by Anusha Srinivasan Iyer was just that.”

Asha Bhosle said, “I have been to Kashmir many times and the beauty of Kashmir never ceases to mesmerize me. This song is a beautiful, melodious number.”

Adds Anusha Srinivasan Iyer, “When director Sudipto Sen and singer-somposer Mudasir Ali gave me the brief on the song, I put pen to paper and they simply loved it. And then, Asha ji and Mudasir Ali, breathed life into the words.”
