R. Madhavan recently confirmed signing Amriki Pandit , a new film being made by a group of young men , who were inspired by his character in 3 Idiots to turn into filmmakers.
Maddy who essayed the role of a closet photographer forced to pursue engineering in the 2009 blockbuster, inspired 7 IT professionals to quit their high-paying jobs to pursue filmmaking and was approached by them to play the central character in their debut film.
Confirms Madhavan, “Yes, I’m glad to be part of Amriki Pandit which I believe is as interesting and inspiring as my character in 3 Idiots. It’s crazy awesome when these 7 guys told me they were inspired by my act in 3 idiots which made them quit their high paying jobs in the IT industry and learn filmmaking and want to make this movie that they believe in.”
