Actor Rajeev Khandelwal attended promotional press conference of his upcoming show ‘Haq Se’ on Friday in Mumbai. During media interaction, Rajeev said that he doesn’t want restrict himself in one particular medium.

Rajeev Khandelwal is one of few actors who has worked in television, films and now digital medium, so when asked him what difference he faced while working in all three mediums, he said, “I feel comfortable in projects irrespective of medium. These platforms are meant basically for audience. Now I am doing digital and if tomorrow I am doing a film, then I don’t want to restrict myself in one particular medium. It can be different in terms of budget and scale of the project but as an actor, each project holds similar importance in my career. I am fortunate enough that I have dabbled in all possible mediums”

Talking about response to his upcoming web series ‘Haq Se’, Khandelwal said, “I am not very surprised with the reaction of audience after release of the trailer, I already watched trailer of it. I feel for a beautiful series we got a beautiful trailer. Each team member has worked very hard and they have done their job beautifully. I am very happy with the response of the trailer because when a thing gathers a momentum that means it is gathering it on its own. We are getting overwhelming response for characters, director and look of the series”

Talking about his character in ‘Haq Se’ Khandelwal said, “I don’t want to reveal much about my character. People who have seen the trailer must have able to know zone of my character. I am playing character of Dr. Naushad Rizvi has a back-story and till the time people will not see his back-story , audience might like him or dislike him but they will not be able to avoid this character because it’s a well written character.”

Rajeev Khandelwal is collaborating with Surveen Chawla after almost 10 years for a project, so when asked him working experience with Surveen Chawla, he said, “Surveen has become more beautiful and talented in these 10 years. She has become only better with time so I am very happy that worked together. It was very easy working with her as she has no starry tantrums. She was very focused and so was I. When you like a person off-screen and on0screen then, it becomes very easy to work with that person”

‘Haq Se’ is set in Kashmir is so when asked Rajeev whether they are making an attempt to talk about continuous tension which brewing in Kashmir Valley, he said, “We are not giving any specific message through our show. It’s basically script of our series like that people feel there is certain message about socio-political scenario of Kashmir. Kashmir is inherent part of our show and when audience will watch the show they will realize that this series not commenting on any social issues. It’s a story of four sisters and we placed this story in Kashmir so it all amalgamates with each other really well”

‘Haq Se’ is a story of four sisters, Meher, Jannat, Bano and Amal, who live in Kashmir. ‘Haq Se’ is an adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women. The series also stars Rukhsar, Simone Singh, Parul Gulati. Aanchal Sharma and Nikeesha Rangwal.

‘Haq Se’ is being directed by Ken Ghosh and produced by Ekta Kapoor. It will air on ALT Balaji YouTube chnnel form mid-February.
