Actress Nimrat Kaur attended fashion designer Ritu Kumar’s autumn winter collection 2017 on Monday in Mumbai. While interacting with media, Nimrat stated that The Test Case web series is very closer to her heart.
Ekta Kapoor’s ambitious web series, ‘The Test Case’, which is based on the Indian Army, failed to enjoy a successful run, with the makers pulling the plug on the show after one episode in April. There were reports that creative differences between director Nagesh Kukunoor and Kapoor had been cited as reason to bring the show to a halt. Now, the team of ‘The Test Case’ has decided to resurrect their pet project.
Talking about The Test Case and her future projects, Nimrat said, “I am having lot of fun while shooting it. On the first day of shoot itself, I injured my leg so now I am recovering from it. It’s a great set to be on. I am having really amazing time shooting it. It’s really tough and physically very demanding role but it’s a project which is very closer to my heart so I am really happy that we are back filming this”
Talking about her next projects, Nimrat said, “As of now, I am doing this only. There are some projects but I can’t give many details about it right now. I think with this, we should be on air at the end of the year for sure”
Talking about her own style statement, Nimrat said, “My style statement keeps on changing. Sometimes I feel like wearing dresses and other time I feel like wearing torn jeans and T-Shirts. It depends upon what the mood and season is, so I am not committed really to one style of dressing”
Nimrat also gave fashion tips during winter, she said, “I feel we should wear cloth as per the season. I feel very cold when I see girls wearing short skirts in winter and I have done that as well but I have realized that those were not good choices so you should wear things that are nice, warm and which have warmer colors tones like trench coats and mufflers”
‘The Test Case’, produced by Endemol Shine India for ALTBalaji app, is set against the backdrop of the Indian Army. Nimrat Kaur essays the role of Captain Shikha Singh, the first woman preparing to be inducted in a combat role in the Indian Army. The narrative revolves around the life of Shikha and the hardships she faced during the training.
Reportedly, Kukunoor has been shown the door, with Dangal (2016) assistant director Vinay Waikul being appointed to helm the project.
It also stars Rahul Dev, Juhi Chawla and Atul Kulkarni in crucial roles.
