Actress Taapsee Pannu attended Hema Malini organized Synergy – An Indo – Georgian Dance Fusion on Friday in Mumbai. While interacting with media, Taapsee stated that Judwaa 2 is going to be image changer for her.
Taapsee is generally known for doing action oriented films but in Judwaa 2 is she is looking glamorous and doing stuff that a typical Bollywood commercial film heroine does, so when asked her whether Judwaa 2 will be image changer for her, to that, Taapsee said, “I feel yes.. People weren’t expecting this from me. When I started doing action films that time also they weren’t expecting that from me either. After release of those films, people made their mind that I will keep on doing action films but in this films but in this film I am not doing that so like each time if people are coming in theatre with certain kind of perception keeping me in mind but with each film, I am trying to break that perception of the audience.”
“There is perception in the audience that I don’t do anything apart from breaking bones and doing action but with Judwaa 2 I will be breaking many hearts so when people give such shocking and surprising feedback to me about my work that time I feel really happy”
Talking about increasing popularity of her recently released song Oonchi Hai Building, she said, “I got really great response for it. It was my favorite song since childhood that’s the reason I myself was so excited for this song. It was nostalgic moment for me when I got the opportunity to dance to my favorite song that too in remake of Judwaa”
When asked Taapsee whether she is feeling the heat ahead of her film’s release, she said, “I am not nervous at all. I am very excited and happy. I usually don’t get nervous with the release of my films and especially with Judwaa 2, I am not nervous at all because I know that audience is going to like the film”
Talking about event, Taapsee said, “I have been a trained classical dancer so I know that dancing as an art is how much close to people who learn it professionally. Earlier, I haven’t watched performances form Georgian dancers so for me it will be very interesting fusion for me. Since I am trained dancer, I always like to follow all kind of dance forms”
Judwaa 2 also stars Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Anupam Kher in pivotal roles.
It is directed by David Dhawan. It is scheduled to release on 29 September, 2017.
