Dapper Actor Varun Dhawan graced the grand opening of Jagran Film Summit here in Mumbai and talked about his take on Stardom and advice he got from mentor Salman Khan and father David Dhawan.

“What is Stardom? I think it’s a person’s ability to connect with his fans. An actor cannot become a star if people don’t make him, and that’s the most important thing. I remember this from my childhood that they would say about my father, David Dhawan that he has this insane box-office record, but whenever we were at home, having a conversation, my father would say, it is all love of people, I make films for people”

“During my childhood, people would come to me and appreciate my father’s work for various reasons; I think that is stardom for me. Power to heal people; put a smile on peoples face and to connect with them” added Varun Dhawan.
Salman Khan has supported and promoted Varun Dhawan from the get-go, as both shares a professional and personal rapport. ABCD star talks about the incident and special advice Salman gave him after his first hit, Student of the Year.

“Salma Khan told me don’t take it for granted. When my first film did well, Salman Khan asked me, what are you going to do now? Which was so apt, I mean, I did my first film, it did well and I was a position to chose my roles and I was asking myself what to do now? It became risky at that point” added Varun.

Varun Dhawan is currently promoting his rebooted version of Salman Khan Starrer Judwaa, only now it is titled Judwaa 2. The actor will be seen in double role romancing Taapsee Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandez in the film directed by David Dhawan.

The movie releases on 29th September 2017.
