After revealing his dark demons and struggle with drugs, the actor Prateik Babbar is all geared up with his second innings in Bollywood. The actor is roped in Anubhav Sinha’s next titled Mulk.

Prateik Babbar shared the news on social media. He shared his picture reading the script and finally agreeing to part of the film. The actor captioned the pictures, “#Friday let work be worship”.

Mulk is written and will be helmed by Anubhav Sinha, the movie will star Rishi Kapoor, Tapsee Pannu and Prateik Babbar in lead roles. The movie will be shot in Lucknow and Varanasi. The film will be produced under Benaras Media Works.

The film is said to be inspired by real life incident. It’s a social thriller set-up in the backdrop of family relationships.
Prateik Babbar, son of Smita Patil and Raj Babbar, started his career with relatively big banner movie titled “Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na”, which also starred Imran Khan and Genelia D’Souza.

Post debut movie Prateik Babbar featured in “Dhobi Ghat” in a pivotal role. After a couple of hits and miss, Prateik was paired with Amy Jackson in Ekk Deewana Tha, which was the only noted work of the actor but since then the actor hasn’t had a decent release.

Later it was revealed that the Prateik was struggling with addiction and post treatment, he came out publicly about his issue and ever since the actor has become a source of inspiration for people dealing with the disease of addiction.
Prateik Babbar was last seen in 2015’s Umrika. He has two films coming up: Aroni Tokhon, which is a Bengali release and Robinhood Ke Pote but Mulk could be the perfect comeback bandwagon for the actor.
