“It was an honor to be a part of such an iconic film especially which depicts a story of a girl who raised her voice for world peace through her education. Malala Yousafzai taught us that education can solve the biggest problems in the world. I am trying to do something in a new space, recreating India and Pakistan on sets and real locations. A lot of research has gone into getting the character and dialect right. ” says Ajaz Khan who is playing a role of an honest, brave pakistani army officer, Shoaib Shaikh in his next film “Gul Makai”
The actor added that “the relatability and connection to the story came almost instantly owing to my love and passion for army”

Gul Makai is being produced by Anand Kumar and directed by Amjad Khan. The movie stars Reem Sheikh, an Indian-Muslim actor who has been working in Television Serials. Actress Divya Dutta will reportedly be playing Malala’s mother, while the other cast members include the late Om Puri, and Ragini Khanna.
Gul Makai – based on the life of teenager Pakistani activist and Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai. The film will demonstrate distinctive shades and reality of the extreme circumstances which Malala experienced while raising her voice for the girl education.
